Soil Moisture Maps
We offer two types of products:
COST EFFECTIVE
Our cost effective product has 10m resolution and measures soil moisture using Sentinel-1 satellite C-band radar data. The soil and vegetation penetration are minimal (5cm). The image shows our digital soil moisture result for a farmland area in Canada. Different crops appear in different
Our Machine Learning (ML) model is trained and validated using in situ field measurement for several locations. This product is ideal for regular monitoring farm irrigations or for local and regional soil moisture modelling.
PREMIUM PRODUCT
Our flagship (premium) product is a bespoke soil moisture map which can penetrate to the depths to 30cm (depending on soil type) allowing spotting water leaks under surface. We L-band satellite radar data for this product, where they come with higher spatial resolution of 1-3m, and by monitoring the soil moisture over the time we map e.g. droughts or flood trends.
Our models are build on radar satellite data as well as other satellite and non-satellite geospatial data.
The time series graphic shows the changes in soil moisture concentrations through time.
